Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This policy applies to consumers in the United States, in particular in Washington, Nevada and Connecticut. It describes the consumer health data that SmartZonesIndicators (the “Publisher”) processes through the Frigd mobile app. It supplements our Privacy Policy, whose article 4 describes the same data in full.

2. Categories of consumer health data we collect

• the allergen and ingredient-exclusion choices entered for the household on the restrictions screen (for example gluten, milk, peanut, sesame, or pork and its derivatives), and the foods to limit (sugar, salt, carbohydrates);
• the list of recipes derived from them: the recipes that remain eligible for the household once these choices are applied.

We keep the choice, never the reason for it: the app never asks about a condition, a diagnosis or a symptom.

You and the other members of your household, when you tick these choices in the app.

4. Purpose

Only to propose recipes to your household: the week of recipes, the dish of the day and recipe notifications leave out any recipe whose ingredients contain one of these choices. This data is used for no other purpose: no advertising, no usage measurement, no statistics, no suggestion system based on your habits.

5. Sharing and sale

• We do not share this data with any third party, and we do not sell it.
• Within the household, the members see these choices, because they are the household's.
• Our only processor for this data is Google Cloud and Firebase, which host our database in the European Union (Belgium, region europe-west1) on our behalf. This data is not sent to our artificial intelligence services, nor to RevenueCat.

6. Consent and withdrawal

These choices are kept only with your consent, given through a separate box, never ticked in advance, which appears as soon as one of them is ticked. Each member who adds such a choice gives their own consent.

You can withdraw your consent at any time in the app: Profile › Restrictions, untick the consent box, then confirm. The household's sensitive choices are erased at once, and the recipes proposed are recalculated without them. Unticking a single option removes that option alone.

7. Your rights

• Access: the household's choices are always visible in Profile › Restrictions. You can also ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Deletion: untick an option to erase it, or withdraw your consent to erase all of the household's sensitive choices. Deleting your account (Profile › Account › “Delete my account”) also erases the household when you own it.
• Withdrawal of consent: as described in section 6.

You can exercise these rights in the app, or by writing to support@smart-zones-indicators.com from the address linked to your account. We answer within 45 days of receiving your request.

Appeal. If we decline your request, in whole or in part, you may ask us to reconsider it by writing to the same address with the subject “Appeal”. We answer your appeal within 45 days of receiving it and explain our decision. If your appeal is denied, you may contact the Attorney General of your state.

For each consent and each withdrawal, we keep a proof of it (for a consent: account identifier, household, date, version and language of the text displayed, screen; for a withdrawal: account identifier, household, date, screen), never the list of your choices, for as long as your account exists, then for 5 years after it is deleted, the period during which legal action remains possible.
